Asia Blockchain Review welcomed blockchain developers, investors, and enthusiasts to its “Under 30 Blockchain Pioneers” event in the Unblock Bangkok meetup series on April 30th at Hubba Silom in Bangkok.
The highlight of the celebrations and networking were inspiring talks from successful entrepreneurs in the blockchain industry who made the list of Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia.
Soravis Srinawakoon, CEO and co-founder of Band Protocol, the only Southeast Asian blockchain startup to raise over US$3 million, shared his vision of making reliable and trusted information accessible to everyone on the internet, especially in the blockchain space.
Ryan Fang, co-founder of Ankr Network, a computing power-based decentralized network with a native data feed system, revealed that the firm aims to use technologies like Kubernetes, Docker containers, blockchain, and trusted hardware to make cloud computing cheaper, more secure, and more user-friendly.
“Ankr is building a distributed computing network that leverages idle cloud resources in datacenters and edge devices,” Fang said. “The compute marketplace unlocks the sharing economy for cloud computing by benefiting both sides of the market.”
TM Lee, co-founder of CoinGecko, a blockchain-based website designed to supply a rudimentary breakdown of the crypto market, shared tips on getting ahead for startups. For example, Lee said that there is no need to leave a day job to participate in a startup and that unleashing curiosity and following one’s instincts are crucial to success.
The ongoing Unblock Bangkok series has proven to be a great gathering and source of inspiration for all attendees. ABR would like to give special thanks to all participants, our co-organizer BitcoinAddict, and our media partners, as well as the distinguished speakers at the event. Stay tuned for more opportunities to join Unblock Bangkok and be a part of our community to support blockchain businesses in Asia.
