WS Asia Pacific Opens New Office in Cambodia

Business consultancy WS Asia Pacific Co Ltd recently opened in the Cambodian capital of Phnom Penh with an auspicious launch ceremony attended by VIPs from nearby ASEAN countries as well as China, the United States, India, and France.

According to the Khmer Times, the firm intends to bring SME (small and medium-sized enterprise) investment into the country.

WS Asia Pacific Leverages SME Network, Blockchain Startups

Peter Lim, CEO of WS Asia Pacific Co Ltd, said in an interview that the launch points to growing confidence in one of the fastest-growing economies, not only in Southeast Asia but around the world.

“There are many opportunities for investment here, especially for SMEs,” said Lim.

According to the CEO, WS Asia Pacific will leverage a vast network of SMEs that stretches across the ASEAN region and beyond to explore opportunities for investment in Cambodia. These businesses span segments such as education, agriculture, and blockchain technology.

WS Asia Pacific’s goal is to facilitate visits to Cambodia by SMEs and advise on the incorporation and licensing process should they choose to invest in the country.

SME Sector Thrives in Cambodia

During the opening ceremony, Prince Norodom Thanora, who serves as Group President of WS Asia Pacific, gave a keynote address citing the economic potential and development of the Southeast Asian nation.

Cambodia’s breakneck growth has created new opportunities for foreign investment in the local SME sector, which values the expertise and knowledge that foreign businesses can bring.

Of the 510,000 registered companies in Cambodia, the Ministry of Trade and Handicrafts estimates that over 90 percent are SMEs.
