Asia Blockchain Review (ABR) jointly organized the Blockchain Workshop with the University of Economics and Law (UEL) on May 15th at the university’s campus in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, where academics and experts discussed the technology’s adoption in the country.
With a focus on the regulatory framework and blockchain use cases, participants in the event included students, professors, developers, and blockchain enthusiasts who were eager to share their ideas and experiences in the blockchain ecosystem.
Steve Nam, Project Director of Wowtrace at Infinity Blockchain Labs, cited real-world cases of blockchain adoption that led to tangible outcomes for businesses. He also talked about the future of supply chain traceability in Vietnam, an area where blockchain and innovation can bring about more efficiency for all stakeholders.
Meanwhile, Manfred Otto, Senior Associate Registered Foreign Lawyer at Duane Morris Vietnam LLC, tackled the topic of international blockchain law, discussing regulatory developments in Asian countries and beyond while offering insights into the challenges and opportunities in the industry.
After the talks, a panel discussion was held, with Assoc. Prof. Nguyễn Ngọc Điện, Ph.D. as moderator, where our experts discussed blockchain adoption in Vietnam.
The event successfully brought together the blockchain community in Ho Chi Minh City, giving all in attendance an opportunity to talk about the latest movements in the industry. ABR would like to give special thanks to all participants, our talented speakers, and our co-organizer UEL.
