The World Blockchain Summit (WBS) was successfully held in Singapore on July 26th. This year’s WBS was attended by Singapore government officials and more than 300 businesspersons from the global blockchain & IT industry to discuss the technology, according to a report by PR Newswire.
The event was made possible with the support of the Singapore Fintech Association (SFA), the Singapore Cryptocurrency & Blockchain Industry Association, and the Token Economy Association.
Participants in the event included several renowned figures, such as Anson Zeall, Chairman of the Singapore Cryptocurrency & Blockchain Industry Association; Chia Hock Lai, Chairman of the SFA; Nathan Kaiser, Chairperson of Cardano Foundation; Alex Mashinsky, Founder and CEO of Celsius Network; Tim Draper, Founder of DFJ Venture Capital; and other industry leaders.
Industry-leading firms across different industries have been venturing into the blockchain space to secure their position as a leader in the technology and maintain their competitiveness against rivals in the market.
Kevin Feng, Chief Operating Officer of VeChain, was also invited to the summit to share with guests how the firm’s VeChainThor Blockchain-based solutions can contribute to creating more value for the global economy.
During his speech at WBS, Feng said, “To reduce the technical threshold for enterprises to adopt blockchain technology, VeChain officially launched VeChain ToolChain, the revolutionary one-stop BaaS platform developed upon the VeChainThor public blockchain, was launched in April 2019.”
