Unblock Meetup Series: Blockchain Scalability – Challenges and Future Directions

March 23, 2019

Asia Blockchain Review presents the next Unblock Meetup Series on “Blockchain Scalability – Challenges and Future Directions”, which will span across two countries this month:

  • March 26 (Tue): Bangkok, Thailand
  • March 28 (Thu): Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

The theme on blockchain scalability is a timely one, as it has been a major obstacle to enterprise and mass adoption in recent years. If the blockchain doesn’t scale, transaction costs would increase and discourage people from using the blockchain

In today’s market, a large number of blockchain-based companies are beginning to shift toward strengthening the infrastructure necessary for the long-term viability of blockchain technology. In this meetup, stakeholders will discuss these challenges of scalability and how to approach them.

Unblock Bangkok

  • Date: March 26th, 2019 (Tue)
  • Venue: Spaces (24th Floor) – Chamchuri Square
  • Time: 6:30pm to 9:00pm

This session of Unblock Bangkok will feature speakers from these blockchain companies:

  • Liquidity Network, headquartered in Switzerland. Liquidity Network uses off-chain payments, allowing users to transfer their funds instantly with an enhanced level of privacy secured by blockchain. What makes the platform different from a conventional bank is that it facilitates the exchange of digital assets, but doesn’t hold funds.
  • Lightnet is one of the largest revolutionized financial services network in Southeast Asia, backed by K Chatchaval Jiaravanon (CP Group Family member, Founder of AEON, Finansia Syrus etc) and “Stellar”, the World’s top Blockchain network. Lightnet was created from the vision that everyone should be able to access financial services anytime and from anywhere.
  • Kulap is the decentralized best rate protocol. This protocol gets real-time digital asset exchange rate from a worldwide marketplace, using an algorithm to find the “best price” for users automatically. Katinrun is developing an Ethereum-based donation platform where a donee who needs some support and a donor who wants to give support can meet together.

Unblock Saigon

  • Date: March 28th, 2019 (Thu)
  • Venue: The Loft, Level 2, 95 Pasteur, Ben Nghe Ward, Ho Chi Minh
  • Time: 6:30pm to 9:00pm

This session of Unblock Saigon will feature speakers from these blockchain companies:
