Top Developer Conference Pycon Brings Best Speakers to Thailand for the Second Year

Bangkok, 17 May, 2019 After a successful sold-out event last year, Pycon Thailand is back for its 2nd edition at True Digital Park on 15 & 16 June, 2019 (Saturday & Sunday).

Pycon is one of the top software developer conferences held in over 40 countries around the world. Supported and attended by the world’s top technology organisations, Pycon features talks from Robotics, Machine Learning, E-Commerce, Gaming, Web Development, Big Data, DevOps, and Internet of Things.

There will be more than 40 talks, workshops and lightning talks, 4 keynotes, and evening parties during this intensive two-day conference.

As one of the world’s top programming languages used by large organisations like Instagram, Spotify, Amazon, Google and Facebook, and the undisputed leader in Machine Learning and AI, Python programming is essential to Thailand 4.0’s future towards innovation and technology.

Pycon’s 2nd edition at True Digital Park

Pycon Thailand 2019  will be held on 15 & 16 June (Sat & Sun) at True Digital Park – the latest startup and technology campus in Bangkok. Spanning over 20,000m², True Digital Park is set to be Thailand’s and Southeast Asia’s largest startup destination. It is the place to be for urbanites in the digital era with state-of-the-art technology. Pycon Thailand is proud to be one of the pioneering events held there.   

The 2-day conference will feature 40+ talks, workshops and lightning talks of approximately  30-45 minute with 8 breaks each day. Apart from the 4 main keynote talks, attendees get to pick their preferred talks or workshops simultaneously happening in 3 different tracks at the Auditorium, Townhall and Workshop room. There will also be a party in the evening for more social interactions.

  • Adam Paszke

One of the authors and Maintainer of PyTorch with previous working experience in organizations like Facebook, AI Research and NVIDIA.

  • Katie Mclaughlin

Cloud Developer Advocate at Google,

Director at Python Software Foundation and Django Software Foundation. Also winner of the O’Reilly Open Source Award in 2017, andfinalist in the Red Hat Women in Open Source Award in 2018

  • Dr Russell Keith-Magee

Founder of the BeeWare project, developing GUI tools and libraries to support the development of Python software on desktop and mobile platforms. Also a 13 year veteran of the Django core team. In his day job, he wrangles data pipelines for Survata.

  • David Cournapeau

Data Scientist , author of  scikit-learn, David Cournapeau is the original author of the scikit-learn package, an open source machine learning library in the Python programming language.

Tickets selling fast

PyCon Thailand is a community effort driven by members of the Python Community in Bangkok on a nonprofit basis. It is dedicated to advance and promote Python, an open-source programming language. Its mission is to grow the local community of Python programmers in Thailand , Asia and around the world.

Ticket prices are very affordable at 600 THB for students (proof of student pass needed on registration), 1,600 THB  for subsidized tickets, and 3,000 THB for regular tickets (where tax invoice is needed for claim).

Ticket price includes entrance for the two-day conference, coffee breaks, lunch and Saturday night party entrance.

Pycon Thailand also provides financial support for those who in need as we believe that monetary issues shouldn’t be a barrier to learning and exchange of knowledge.
