Together with the Philippines’s first blockchain-centric venue, BlockchainSPACE, blockchain pioneers SCI Ventures, volunteer-driven organization BlockDevs Asia and Unionbank of the Philippines will launch the inaugural Inclusive Prosperity Fintech Summit (IPFS). This weekend-long event taking place on April 6-7 will be joined by regulators, investors, software developers, as well as entrepreneurs from across the industry, and consist of two main parts.  

The first is the suitably named Fintech Forum which will take place in Acceler8 Rockwell, a co-working space provider in the Philippines. The conference will have over twenty highly reputable thought leaders in the fintech industry sharing their knowledge on topics such as mobile money, borderless payments, blockchain, and more. It will also feature a number up to fifteen booths from a wide variety of companies from the fintech space, which attendees can freely talk to and network with throughout the day. Alongside the conference will be the DISH 2019 Hackathon happening in Acceler8’s Legazpi branch. This marks the return of the Philippines’ first ever community-led codefest spearheaded by BlockDevs Asia, which has regularly held developer meetups over the past few years. The event will gather the top coders from around the blockchain industry to solve on real world solutions, while gathering business leaders and potential investors to come listen to their pitches.
