TEAMZ Blockchain Summit Asia 2019 is coming to KL, Malaysia

Asia Blockchain Review
June 4, 2019

On June 13th and 14th, VCs, funds, emerging projects, key talents, and executives from traditional finance firms in Asia and around the world will gather for the “TEAMZ Blockchain Summit Asia 2019,” which was previously held in Tokyo earlier this year to much fanfare.

As a result of collaboration between TEAMZ and LegnaCap Inc, Japan’s biggest blockchain summit is now coming to Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia.

With TEAMZ Blockchain Summit coming to Kuala Lumpur, participating leaders and experts in blockchain will have the opportunity to spread awareness of the emerging technology in Malaysia and beyond, expanding the community to the Southeast Asian market and connecting with local resources and regulators.

Among the invited guests are national banks and investors from Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines, as well as influential Malaysian families looking to invest in the next big thing.

Unlike Japan, where blockchain already has its own dedicated following, the technology has yet to become a household name in Malaysia. Therefore, the main goal for the Kuala Lumpur summit is to introduce the local industry to blockchain and help them overcome their possible doubts through eye-opening presentations and panel discussions and bold topics, such as “Is blockchain a scam?”

According to the Malaysian Industry-Government Group for High Technology (MIGHT), the country is seeking to adopt blockchain by 2025, particularly in the country’s three leading industries – renewable energy, palm oil, and finance. Malaysian banks and investors are already doing their part to foster progress.

This is expected to transform the Malaysian political, social and economic landscape, while ensuring transparency and sustainability.

Moreover, it was recently reported by Cointelegraph that the Chinese government is investing in the construction of a “blockchain city” in the Straits of Malacca, a vital shipping lane of the country.

Join us in Kuala Lumpur to share knowledge and new ideas about blockchain and grow the industry beyond its core community!
