The Starfleet Accelerator Program by Æ Ventures is set to open a new round of applications in Malta.
Cointelegraph reported that the global accelerator for blockchain projects has broken through US$1.6 million in investment and has been compelled to open a third round of applications.
Starfleet Accelerator Program was initiated by Æ Ventures to expedite the growth of blockchain projects by providing initial funding and advice while helping to attract investment. The goal of the program is to mentor blockchain projects towards realizing their potential and ushering them to market. Participants receive guidance on token economics, infrastructure and business models from a variety of experts along with advice on accessing Æ Ventures assistance.
“We are amazed at the growth of the Starfleet accelerator program from its start to now,” said Nikola Stojanow, CEO of Æ Ventures. “We can’t wait to launch the third edition with new companies breaking blockchain barriers.”
The third round of applications to the program is taking place in Malta. Successful applicants will receive mentoring from industry leaders as well as the opportunity to secure up to US$100,000 in investment. Startups have until October 20 to apply with the program’s third iteration beginning in November. In 2020, the program is slated to take place in India.
Stojanow explained that hosting the program in Malta and India “presents new opportunities to engage the burgeoning blockchain culture in these regions and we’re proud to continue to foster global blockchain growth through these communities”.
