Smart Contract Thailand, a blockchain solutions provider based in the country, has said that its platform can digitalize the healthcare industry, in keeping with the country’s wider move to promote its S-Curve industries.

Blockchain Use Cases for Healthcare Provider and Patients

According to local news outlet The Nation, Managing Director of Smart Contract Thailand Sathapon Patanakuha stated that the company is ready to offer blockchain-powered solutions for stakeholders in the healthcare industry, including services such as a health information exchange and a personal health records platform.

Sathapon revealed that the solutions were developed with hospitals and government healthcare organizations in mind.

The blockchain platform can assist medical personnel, patients, and hospitals to carry out numerous processes in the Nationwide Health Information Exchange, from e-referrals and e-claims to public service announcements on health-related issues.

Various Industries Ripe for Blockchain Disruption

The company’s projects extend beyond the healthcare industry. Smart Contract Thailand has also introduced an electricity distribution system based on peer-to-peer solar energy trading run on a blockchain platform.

Managing Director Sathapon said, “We are a local development team that developed S-Curve technologies to support the local and international market.”

Smart Contract Thailand is set to enter into strategic partnerships that will see its solutions utilized in nearby countries, including Singapore, Malaysia, and China’s Hong Kong. The company has set an end-2019 target of 150% more revenue compared with 2018.

“Our developments are disruptive technologies, including blockchain,” the firm’s managing director said. “We also saw that emergent technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics would change business processes and daily life for people as a whole.”
