The Biggest Blockchain Conference in Jakarta and The First-ever Blockchain Week in Indonesia
Jakarta, November 8, 2019 – Tokocrypto, the leading crypto exchange in Indonesia, presents Inblocks 2019, the biggest blockchain conference in Jakarta, on November 19th – 20th, 2019, at the Grand Ballroom of JS Luwansa Hotel, Jakarta.
This is the second time that Tokocrypto is organizing Inblocks, which last year was held on September 15th, 2019, to coincide with the official launch of Tokocrypto.
“Inblocks 2019 is not just to build public awareness about blockchain, but will also be a place to share information regarding the blockchain ecosystem in Indonesia, how the regulations the latest regulations and climate, and how about implementation of the blockchain so far from various projects, both overseas and domestically,” said Chung Ying Lai, Chairman of Inblocks and Business Development Director of Tokocrypto.
Inblocks 2019 is supported by several high-profile government organizations, such as Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Commodity Futures Trading Regulatory Agency (BAPPEBTI), Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre (PPATK), Central Bank of Indonesia (BI), and Indonesian Blockchain Association (ABI).
Furthermore, various global projects also support Inblocks by joining as sponsors and speakers, such as Global Digix, ImToken, ShapeShift, Emurgo, MakerDAO, Infinity Blockchain Ventures (IBV), Wadz, and local projects such as RupiahToken.
Inblocks 2019 will be the main event of the 2019 Indonesia Blockchain Week series. This is the first Blockchain Week in Indonesia and has attracted a lot of attention from overseas and the local public.
Pang Xue Kai, CEO of Tokocrypto, said, “Indonesia Blockchain Week is the latest initiative from Tokocrypto. We want the blockchain industry in Indonesia to continue to grow and be widely adopted by various parties so that Indonesia can become the hub of the blockchain industry in Southeast Asia. Tokocrypto is committed to advancing the blockchain industry in Indonesia, and we are proud that this is supported by the government as well as local and overseas projects ”
The idea of organizing Blockchain Week itself is not actually new; we have seen blockchain weeks being organized in several countries and cities, with the Korea Blockchain Week, Japan Blockchain Week, and San Francisco Blockchain Week as the most recent examples. However, no Blockchain Week has been held in Indonesia before, despite it being a favorable country for blockchain development. This motivated Tokocrypto to take the initiative to organize the first-ever Indonesia Blockchain Week and showcase Indonesia to the world.
So far, various projects, such as Hummingbot, Wadz, BAT, Vexanium, Digix, MakerDAO, RupiahToken, and SEA Ethereum community, have joined the Indonesia Blockchain Week by organizing their own events during the week of November 18th – 24th, 2019.
