Herbet Sim, founder of Crypto Chain University and commonly known as ‘The Bitcoin Man’, has announced two investment deals worth US$3.5 million at RISE Tech Conference 2019 held in Hong Kong.
The first deal, worth US$2.5-million, was with DIYBlockhain, a Blockchain-as-a-Service (BaaS) startup based in Mountain View, California. Another US$1 million was invested in TaoDust, a Malta-based blockchain startup.
TaoDust is a crowdfunding blockchain-powered platform aimed at disrupting the traditional investment process. The platform allows users to buy, sell, or trade assets with ease and freedom. TaoDust is trying to eliminate the need of stock exchanges , replacing them with software capable of offering equity tokens with self-governed operational bylaws. This platform also helps create an environment where investors and startup entrepreneurs are closer to one another.
“TaoDust stood out to me the most among the hundreds of startups present at the conference. It showcased a revolutionary technology and ideas, along with a great team and proprietary technology, that will penetrate across the industries,” Sim said following the signing.
DIYBlockchain’s zero-code Blockchain-as-a-Service (BaaS) product, DIYNucleo, aims to revolutionize the way applications will be developed on various blockchains. Additionally, it tackles the problems regarding demand for specialized programmers.
“DIYBlockchain’s BaaS product, DIYNucleo, addresses the pain points of blockchain technology adoption for companies, and provides a complete ecosystem that will enable developers and product owners to collaborate to the benefit of all parties,” Sim said.
