Techsauce Global Summit 2019, recently held on June 19th and 20th at Centara Grand at CentralWorld in Bangkok, welcomed leaders in the tech industry, including representatives of the blockchain community, new players in the industry, and investors from countries around the world.

Representatives from Asia Blockchain Review (ABR) also joined the event as a key community partner in the Southeast Asian region and as expert speakers in the areas of blockchain and cryptocurrency.

Blockchain Seminars and Panels Bring the Community Together

Amarit Charoenphan, CEO and Co-founder of HUBBA and Techsauce, said, “This year, we are going beyond buzzwords and focusing on how we should deal with emerging technology while also nourishing and growing new ideas.”

This year’s summit offered activities such as seminars, pitchings, and networking events. Members of the tech and blockchain community shared new ideas and experiences at panel discussions and workshops.

Several blockchain– and crypto-focused talks were organized, such as “Decentralising Inclusion, Using Blockchain for Good” by Christina Lomazzo, Blockchain Lead from UNICEF, and “Bitcoin Thesis: Money 3.0 Valuation Framework for Cryptocurrency” by Soravis Srinawakoon, CEO and Co-Founder of Band Protocol.

Positive Outlook for Startups in Blockchain and Crypto Space

The event also attracted up-and-coming blockchain and crypto startups from countries such as Australia, Singapore, and Indonesia, who came to meet investors and joined in activities throughout the event.

Jeff Yew, Founder of Brisbane-based TravelbyBit, an online travel agency that uses cryptocurrency, revealed that he was impressed by the companies joining the summit.

“It’s an eye-opener to see the tech industry in Thailand. I have a very positive outlook towards the startup community here, and I’ve seen some good blockchain projects,” he said.
