Singaporean blockchain accelerator Tribe recently revealed that it has signed on major corporations as its corporate partners in the second phase of its project.

Onboarding New Corporate Partners

According to TokenPost, Tribe Accelerator signed a partnership with Citibank, IBM, and video game developer Ubisoft as corporate partners for the second phase of the accelerator’s program, which is expected to last for 4 months.

Tribe’s mission is to help blockchain startups connect with major corporations in order to find more users for its blockchain solutions.

The first batch of startups completed the program in July 2019, succeeding in raising over US$2.2 million within 3 months.

Ng Yi Ming, Tribe Accelerator Managing Partner, cited corporate partners as an important part of the first batch’s success.

“The success of the inaugural batch far surpassed our initial expectations. By ensuring all parties are aligned with a common objective, it has greatly reduced information overlaps and made solution integration prompt,” he said.

Announcing the Second Batch of Startups

Tribe previously released a list of the new startups joining its project, including supply chain technology developer DiMuto, database services infrastructure and data privacy provider PILAB, customer loyalty management platform Aqilliz, mobile solutions developer Affle Holdings Pte Ltd, developer of blockchain technology to distribute international aid AID:Tech, and digital healthcare technology developer WhiteCoat.

After launching the incubator last year, Tribe has received support from both the private and public sectors entities including Singapore’s Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), BMW Group Asia, Intel, R3, Temasek, AXA,  Nielsen and PwC.
