Vietnam ICT COMM and Telefilm 2019 recently opened in Ho Chi Minh City on June 6, introducing a wide range of information and communications technologies and solutions.
The three-day international exhibitions are held annually by the Ministry of Information and Communications in collaboration with the Ministry of Science and Technology.
As reported by VoV news, this year’s event drew the participation of over 450 exhibitors from 25 countries and territories, presenting such products as broadcasting, decoding and 4G-LTE technologies, together with big data, artificial intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT) and e-government solutions.
Hoang Vinh Bao, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications, noted in his opening remarks that in addition to serving as a bridge for developing cooperative ties among foreign and domestic companies, the event offers the chance for firms to share and exchange knowledge in the areas of telecommunications, IT and television.
Seminars were also held within the framework of the event on the latest trends, products and technologies in various fields, including the application of AI and blockchain technology in connecting markets, online payments and smart startups in the Industry 4.0 era.
According to Viet Nam News, Foreign participants included 22 top Taiwanese brands showcasing 74 products that won Taiwan Excellence awards. These included mobile devices apps, tech solutions, wireless technologies, internet services, electronic products and services, broadcasting equipment and network infrastructure.
Additionally, 20 leading studios from Taiwan brought their latest feature films and television series covering themes such as family, politics, animation, travel, food and virtual reality education.
