Thai Property Developer to Implement Blockchain, IoT and AI

March 27, 2019

Major property developer in Thailand Sansiri Plc has unveiled its plans to adapt new technologies to its business operations, from blockchain-based platforms, artificial intelligence (AI) to the Internet of Things (IoT).

The SET-listed developer disclosed that by the third quarter of 2019, it will introduce smart home show units capable of machine learning, as well as a technology-enabled sales gallery for numerous residential projects. It also announced that the company will invest 600 million baht this year to work with its partners, with the goal of becoming an “AI-first organization” by the year 2020.

Sansiri Chief Technology Officer Tawicha Trakulyinyong said that two years ago, the company established a strategy to become more data driven and to further implement the use of data analytics as well as IoT in its future properties.

As for blockchain technology, Sansiri has partnered with Amazon Web Service, Microsoft, and Digital Ventures to develop digital services and operations that will be using blockchain-based technology for real estate.

The company expressed its belief that with AI, it will be able to develop its services by offering property recommendations, individual services to customers, as well as provide chatbots on its platforms. Sansiri will also use AI to analyze construction for its projects and score the potential of a plot prior to initiating new projects.

To enhance security for residents of its properties, Sansiri will also establish a system called the Smart Command Center, which will operate 24-hour security services in low-rise and condominium projects being developed this year. The developer added that it has also adapted technology to streamline the decision-making process of prospective buyers, such as hybrid agents that will integrate offline and online processes for customers.
