Tezos Southeast Asia (TSA), a nonprofit organized based in Singapore, has announced it will be working with Faculty of Information Technology, VNU University of Engineering and Technology (UET-FIT) to launch an academic initiative promoting the potentials of blockchain technology among their students.
As reported by Yahoo News, the collaboration is aligned with TSA’s goals to support the development of the region’s blockchain ecosystem through fostering technological readiness among students.
Through the syllabus, students will be introduced to the concepts and fundamentals of advanced computer science, with a focus on Tezos blockchain technology. Upon completion, they will possess the necessary skill set to develop advanced applications running on the Tezos platform, together with a deeper understanding of the technology.
Vietnam has seen rapid economic growth and development over the past several years, which has in turn created advancement opportunities across a range of industries.
One of these industries is food, which has been a major contributor to the country’s economic growth. Nevertheless, because the food industry is also susceptible to uncertainties, blockchain offers massive opportunities for modernizing conventional methods.
TSA and UET-FIT hope to inspire local innovation in order to bridge gaps within traditional sectors using new technologies. Their partnership strives to promote an accurate understanding of blockchain technology and advanced computer science technologies.
Additionally, TSA hopes to replicate the success of its academic initiatives with Thailand’s Chulalongkorn University and adapt it accordingly. There will also be exchanges of expertise between the faculty and Tezos community.
Moreover, the collaboration aims to build local capabilities and contribute to the development of the blockchain ecosystem.
