Swiss Firm Debuts Ultra-Secure FINNEY Phone with Crypto Wallet

Swiss tech firm SIRIN LABS has announced the launch of the world’s first ultra-secure, crypto-oriented smartphone dubbed ‘FINNEY’, targeting the increasing number of high-end crypto users, as reported by Vulcan Post.

The smartphone was reported to cost as much as S$1,899 (approx. US$1,367), a premium price tag even higher than that of Apple’s 256GB iPhone XS. SIRIN LABS has also made COURTS Funan the exclusive retailer for its FINNEY phones.

Sirin OS Brings Machine Learning to Smartphone Security

The FINNEY phone will premiere in Southeast Asia from Singapore and from Japan for the rest of Asia. The phone is also available in all European countries, including the United Kingdom.

The key to its security lies in the company’s proprietary operating system, Sirin OS. Sirin OS is a Google-certified modification of Android, equipped with a machine learning-based cybersecurity suite that protects the phone from cyber threats, such as unsecured network hacks, malware, and data theft, both online and offline.

Physical Crypto Wallet and Token Conversion Service

Arguably the most remarkable feature of the smartphone is its ‘physical crypto wallet’, a separate piece of hardware that can be accessed by sliding the top back panel of the phone upward. Being a physical e-wallet means better security, as it will only connect to the internet when the user sends or receives virtual currencies, unlike regular e-wallets that are embedded into the phone OS and are, therefore, constantly connected to the internet.

The phone will also offer a unique service that allows users to convert certain types of tokens into other types supported by the system, without having to depend on crypto exchanges.
