Crypto Beach Thailand Signs MoU to Promote Phuket Businesses

Crypto Beach Thailand Facebook’s post on January 19th, 2019 announced that Crypto Beach association has executed a collaborative agreement with seven private agencies to boost effective use of digital assets and blockchain technology among local businesses and industrial sectors.

Pantil Jongjitrakul, President of Crypto Beach Association of Thailand said on January 17th, 2019 at the association’s meeting hall that cryptocurrency is still considered a new issue for many countries worldwide, including Thailand. The Thai government has realized the potential growth of these new technologies occurring around the world, and on June 14th, 2018, it issued the Royal Decree on the Digital Asset Businesses B.E. 2561.

As stated by Pantil, Phuket has long been recognized as a famous tourist destination, welcoming over 13 million visitors each year, and the MoU between the association and seven other private companies will support the adoption of digital assets and blockchain in the local market.

Parties joining the MoU signing included Crypto Merchant Service Co., Ltd., a provider of marketing services to merchants to enable them to receive payment in cryptocurrency through QR code from over 20 million tourists worldwide who hold cryptocurrencies; Pisona Co., Ltd., an operator of hotel and resort businesses such as Patong Bay Garden Resort, Patong Bay Hill Resort & Spa, and The Bay and Beach Club Patong Phuket, as well as other major businesses and service providers in Phuket.  

The association has further plans to collaborate with other organizations both domestically and internationally to proliferate digital assets and blockchain ecosystems in Phuket and nationwide in the future.
