ClickAcademy Asia has announced that it is introducing the Certified Blockchain Professional Program (stylized as C|BP) in Singapore. The program was founded by the Institute of iBusiness Council (IIB Council) — a division of International Council of E-Commerce Consultants, which is one of the world’s largest cybersecurity technical certification bodies.

The course offered in Singapore will receive up to 90% of its funding from the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) as a way to support citizens and permanent residents in the ICT workforce to stay up-to-date with new technologies and continue to develop their technical skillset through proactive training.

Jefrey Gomez, Managing Director of ClickAcademy Asia, said, “We are thrilled to launch the Certified Blockchain Professional program in Singapore. Singapore has a conducive landscape for cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology to flourish due to its superb communications network, its global reputation as a financial hub, non-interference by regulators, and growing interest in FinTech.”

The C|BP course offers training in three knowledge and competency areas in blockchain technology, namely development, implementation, and strategy. Developers, coders, and programmers are encouraged to attend the five-day training program that will allow them to take part in CBP exams and the chance to obtain a globally-recognized certification.

As part of the training, participants will work on lab assignments as well as deliver a capstone project. After the training, they will be able to build decentralized applications (DApps) using Ethereum and Solidity, create smart contracts, facilitate trusted in-app transactions, and monitor blockchain projects.

The first batch of training starts at the end of May 2019.
