On the 25th of October, Asia Blockchain Review was thrilled to hold our second blockchain meetup, titled “Unblock Bangkok” in Thailand, focusing on current trends and updates about the Asian blockchain market and potential opportunities for blockchain proliferation to our audiences. For this event, we partnered with ICORA, Bitcoin Addict Thailand and the Bangkok Crypto Club to deliver various sessions and discussion panels.

As such, Jeff Qu, founder of Bangkok Crypto Club has taken lead and given the speech in this inauguration ceremony.

To keep the momentum going, Yidan Xiong, the Marketing Director of Bangkok Crypto Club, kicked off with a brief introduction of the Bangkok Crypto Club, later moving onto the blockchain situation in China. From her perspective, Yidan dove into the Chinese blockchain landscape along with regulations and the attitude of the government towards the technology, backing her statements with data-driven analyses showcasing the growth in this industry.

For the last session, all speakers from ICORA, Bitcoin Addict Thailand, Asia Blockchain Review & Bangkok Crypto Club had lined up in front to run discussion panels in a debating style as the highlight of the Unblock Bangkok event. The topic of the discussion was:“Will China support cryptocurrencies?” which has brought on controversy among audiences. Since China is considered a centralised country, it leads to the question of how decentralised money, like cryptocurrency, could be fully accepted in the country. This session has brought on a wave of attention and questions from our audience, just like its name foresaw i.e – “Fireside Chat”.

In conclusion, “Unblock Bangkok”, a serial blockchain focused event has successfully kicked off in Bangkok with around 100 participating audiences. ABR would like to give a special thanks to our audiences for joining and our co-hosting partner, Bangkok Crypto Club for providing the venue and drinks. Last but not least, we are so glad to collaborate with Bitcoin Addict Thailand and ICORA again for this second event in Bangkok. Please stay tuned for the next Unblock event around Southeast Asia.
